The Story of SpiceBox

Grace’s love of Indian food began with her Great Aunt Dolly who is from Chennai in South India. As soon as she was old enough, Grace traveled to India where she set out to learn more about this vast and varied cuisine from the true masters - home cooks.

Determined to share the vibrant flavours of Indian home cooking with as many people as possible, Grace started a street food stall that grew into two popular restaurants in North East London.

Now a busy mother, Grace found herself struggling to prepare wholesome meals amidst her hectic schedule. She decided to create ready meals that deliver the same flavour, nourishment, and joy as home-cooked dishes.

Shorty after, as if by magic, Grace met fellow food founder Ros, who had everything she needed to make this happen. Namely, a shared vision, a big kitchen, and a fantastic team. They decided to join forces.

Grace closed her two restaurants to fully focus on her new mission of providing nourishing food for busy people (and to get her weekends back 😉).

SpiceBox 2.0 launched in August 2024, starting with the cuisine Grace knows best—Indian food. She is already working hard with our amazing kitchen team to bring you more delicious, convenient, and nourishing food inspired by culinary traditions from around the world.
